THE LAMP IN MY LIFE....

When I am lonely and lost
and know not where to go'
or what to do;
your love is like a lamp
leading me back home.

When I am angry and confused
and lash out at the world
with hurt and pain;
your understanding is the lamp
that brings a ray of hope.

When I am sad and bitter
seeing no reason to go on,
in this harse bleak world;
your concern shines like a lamp
at the end of the tunnel.

When I am cold and grieving
with scarce energy to move
even one step forward;
your encouragement is the lamp
sustaining me with its glow.

Promise me,always to
light the lamp for me;
whatever I do,
however I am.
Wherever I go,I won't
fear then in facing the worst devils,
both inside and outside me.

I shall know, if I lift my eyes
I will see your little lamp'
beckoning on me,
lighting my path,
warming my spirit,
shining on my soul,
wherever I go.....
